Offering financial support of $1,000 to $10,000 per year, this scholarship is designed for domestic students enrolled full-time in eligible associate, bachelor, honours, or postgraduate coursework degrees.

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a domestic student enrolled full-time in an associate, bachelor, honours, or postgraduate coursework degree (CSP or full fee). You must also provide evidence of financial hardship, medical condition, disability, regional background, refugee status, Indigenous background, or other personal hardship.

Deakin Student Support Scholarship in Australia Established in 1974, Deakin University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Geelong (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Victoria. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australia

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for any subject offered by Deakin University within the eligible degree programs.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a domestic student

    • Be commencing or currently enrolled in an associate, bachelor, honours, or postgraduate by coursework degree

    • Hold a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) or be paying full fees (postgraduate)

    • Be enrolled full-time (or provide evidence of why full-time study is not possible)

    • Demonstrate at least one of the following:

      • Financial hardship (e.g., Centrelink benefit, Low Income Health Care Card, or income below Deakin’s threshold)

      • Rural, regional, or remote home location

      • Disability or long-term medical condition

      • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background

      • Refugee background

      • Other demonstrable hardship

Offered Benefits

  • Financial support ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per year

  • Support provided for the normal duration of the course (full-time study basis)

  • Encouragement and assistance for students facing disadvantage to successfully complete their studies at Deakin

Application Process

  1. Register and log in to Deakin’s Scholarship Application Portal.

  2. Select either:

    • Undergraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 1 2026 or

    • Postgraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 1 2026

  3. Upload all required supporting documents, including:

    • Evidence of financial hardship (if applicable)

    • Evidence of medical condition (if applicable)

    • Make sure documents are uploaded under the correct type
