The Danish Government through the University of Denmark is pleased to offer scholarships to certain overseas candidates of the highest quality, in recognition of the important investment that overseas students are making in their education.
The University of Southern Denmark offers a limited number of scholarships through the Danish Government Scholarship programme to highly qualified applicants in recognition of the important investment that overseas students make during their education.

Founded in 1966, Syddansk Universitet (University of Southern Denmark) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Odense (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Region of Southern Denmark. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Esbjerg, Kolding, Slagelse, Sønderborg. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet (Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Denmark), Syddansk Universitet (SDU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Syddansk Universitet (SDU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a non-EU/EEA citizen enrolling in one of the following Master's programes in Sønderborg as listed below

- You must submit your application for admission no later than February 1 - even if you have a Danish residence permit
- Your application must include all necessary documentation at the time of submission (i.e. it must not be necessary for SDU to ask for further documentation).
Offered Benefits
The scholarship consists of two parts: full tuition fee waiver and a grant, to help cover living costs amounting to DKK 3000 per month before taxes
Application Process
To be considered for the scholarship you simply have to apply for admission to one or more of the relevant Master's programmes.
No separate scholarship application is needed.

- Application deposit fee receipt
- Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian – must include grades and ECTS/units/credits for each course
- Course descriptions for the courses on your transcripts
- Proof of English language proficiency
