  • Applicants must be a citizen of a country outside the EU, EEA (the European Economic Area) or Switzerland
  • Admitted to a master’s degree programme at the University of Copenhagen
  • Granted a time-limited residence permit to study a higher education programme in Denmark.
  • All non-EU/EEA candidates to the University of Copenhagen’sCopenhagen’s MA/MSc degree programmes will automatically be considered for the Danish government award provided they are eligible.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the Danish Award, applicants must be  an admission by applying for a master’s degree course at the University of Copenhagen.
  • All non-EU/EEA candidates offered admission will automatically be eligible for the award. Applicants can apply for three Master’sMaster’s programmes starting in the same semester.
  • Supporting Documents: Each Master’sMaster’s programme requires specific documentation, which should be provided along with the application. Provide a language test, such as TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Admission Requirements: The specific requirements vary from one course to another, so refer to the course descriptions for full and extensive information on which master’s degree to take.
  • Language Requirement: Master’s courses taught in English do not require language proficiency of Danish. However, students do have an English language proficiency requirement for admission.
