In partnership with DAAD, the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources is providing an excellent program called DAAD In-Country Scholarships.

The sponsorship will be granted for a development-related master or doctoral students who have a plan to pursue a career in teaching and research at a higher education institution.

DAAD In-Country Scholarships at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Malawi Founded in 2012, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large city of Lilongwe (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Region. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the National Council for Higher Education, Malawi, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) is a coeducational higher education institution. Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Application Process

  • How to Apply: To being enlisted in the program, candidates have to enrol in the masters and PhD degree program at the university. After that, you can complete the award application form.
  • Supporting Documents: hand signed curriculum vitae, including a list of publications, recommendation letter by university teachers (master 1, phd 2), letter of admission for the host university, certified copies of university degree certificates including transcripts, letter of motivation, copy of the passport.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants have completed generally a three-year university degree (Master candidates) or a two-year university degree (doctoral candidates) with above-average results.
  • Language Requirement: have a thorough knowledge of the language of instruction
