The yDiv Graduate School, part of the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) in Leipzig, is pleased to announce two PhD scholarships under the DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) 2025.
To be eligible for the scholarships at yDiv, applicants must be from the Global South, hold an above-average master’s degree in a relevant field, and demonstrate strong motivation for pursuing a PhD in integrative biodiversity research.
The yDiv Graduate School, or Young Biodiversity Graduate School is the graduate school of iDiv, the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research. It offers a doctoral and postdoctoral program in integrative biodiversity research, with the core mission of fostering an exchange between theorists and empiricists to bridge different levels of biodiversity research. yDiv’s unique training program is characterized by a diverse curriculum of scientific and methodological courses, as well as soft-skills training.
