Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme for Master Established in 1948, The University of Nottingham is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Nottingham (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), East Midlands. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Derby, Sutton Bonington, Lincoln, Semenyih. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Nottingham is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Nottingham offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 71 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

You can apply for this scholarship if you:

  • are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) a developing Commonwealth country, please see the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships prospectus 2015 on their webpage for a list of eligible countries AND
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
  • are not currently living or studying, or have not already studied, in a developed country AND
  • are not currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate AND
  • already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme at Nottingham in September 2014 in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on one of the courses listed below:

MSc Advanced Nursing,
MSc Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology,
MSc Clinical Microbiology,
MSc Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics,
MSc Molecular Medical Microbiology,
MSc Microbiology and Immunology,
MSc Oncology,
MPH Public Health,
MPH Public Health (International Health).
