The Cluster of Excellence aims to provide scholarships to master’s program students, offering them the opportunity to acquaint themselves with and actively participate in the outstanding research conducted within the cluster. Focused on exploring the dynamics of complex systems, the cluster bridges concepts and methodologies for studying controlled quantum systems, spanning from small scales to larger molecules, solid-state systems, and nano systems.
The research investigates the emergence of new functionalities with increasing system complexity and size, exploring dynamic generation possibilities. Collaborating international researchers from diverse disciplines, including physics, chemistry, and structural biology, unite their expertise to observe, comprehend, and control these processes in Hamburg. The University of Hamburg is a leading public research university with a rich history dating back to 1919.
