Enhance your knowledge and skills with the help of the Climate Policy Creative Fellowship. The educational programme is organized by the UCL Climate Action Unit.

This fellowship aims to empower creative professionals to contribute to effective climate policy-making by crafting compelling narratives that enhance decision-making processes. To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be experienced creative storytellers, such as writers, directors, or designers, with 5-10 years of practice in fields like theatre, film, prose, or other creative industries. Candidates should have a strong interest in using their creative skills to support climate policy-making and must be available to attend in-person sessions in London.The UCL Climate Action Unit is a dynamic research and engagement initiative within University College London, dedicated to addressing the complex challenges of climate change. By leveraging insights from neuroscience, psychology, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the unit focuses on the human dimensions of climate action. Through their programs, they aim to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and effective policy implementation, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded to experienced creative storytellers who are interested in climate policy.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
    • Be a creative storyteller working in fields like theatre, poetry, prose, film, television, podcasts, games, or creative agencies.
    • Have 5-10 years of experience and a well-developed sense of their own practice.
    • Be interested in using creative skills to assist policymakers in the climate space.
    • Be able to attend in-person sessions in London.

Offered Benefits

Participants selected for the Fellowship will receive a fee of £1,750, divided into two installments. Travel support will be available for those based outside London, along with access cost support.
