The Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP), a collaboration between Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) and the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, is delighted to unveil the CCMP COP29 Reporting Fellowship Program. This initiative is tailored for journalists eager to report on the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29).
This year, the CCMP Reporting Fellowship aims to bring up to 20 journalists from low- and middle income countries* to report in-person at COP29. In light of the climate summit being hosted by Azerbaijan this year, we also encourage journalists from countries of varying incomes in neighboring regions (the Balkans, the Baltics, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia)* to apply.Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is a global network of journalists, media organizations, and educators dedicated to improving the quantity and quality of environmental reporting worldwide. EJN, established in 2004, operates under the umbrella of Internews, a non-profit organization focused on supporting independent media and access to information worldwide. EJN works towards its mission by providing training, resources, and opportunities for journalists to enhance their reporting skills on environmental issues. Through capacity-building workshops, fellowships, grants, and mentorship programs, EJN empowers journalists to effectively communicate complex environmental issues to diverse audiences, fostering greater public awareness and engagement.
