In partnership with China Scholarship Council, the University of Nottingham is granting China Scholarship Council Research Excellence Scholarships in the UK.

There are up to 10 scholarships available to high-achieving international students from China and are valid for up to four years of study on a PhD research degree course.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are open to students from China
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree in any subject area offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Are a Chinese national
  • Meet the requirements of the China Scholarship Council
  • Are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
  • Hold an unconditional offer to start a full-time PhD course in any subject area at University of Nottingham UK with a start date that falls on or between 1 October 2021 and 1 February 2022
  • Have been selected by your university in China as a candidate for this application .

Offered Benefits

The University of Nottingham provides tuition fees and a monthly covering tuition fees and a monthly living allowance, in partnerships with the China Scholarship Council living allowance, in partnerships with the China Scholarship Council. The China Scholarship Council will also cover the costs of your air travel between China and the UK.

  • Language Requirement: If you are an international student, you should also check the information about the English language requirements. Applicants with conditional offers may be considered providing you have already met all English language requirements such as IELTS or TOEFL.
