China Scholarship Council (CSC) PhD Scholarship Scheme


The University of Hull and China Scholarship Council (CSC) offer full tuition fee scholarships to selected students via the CSC PhD scholarship programme. The scholarships are open to outstanding Chinese applicants in specific subject areas only.

The aim of the scholarship is to provide inclusive sport to outstanding Chinese applicants.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) PhD Scholarship Scheme Established in 1954, The University of Hull is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Hull (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Yorkshire and the Humber. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Scarborough. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Hull is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Applicants can apply through online processor.

  • An acceptable research proposal (applicants should work closely with relevant academic staff at the University of Hull)
  • One academic reference
  • Copy of Degree certificate(s) if applicable
  • Copy of transcript(s)
  • Copy of IELTS results – in general, we require IELTS 6.0 (not lower than 5.5 in each skill); IELTS 6.5 for Law, Politics, Business related programmes and English language programmes; IELTS 7.5 or equivalent for Medical Science
  • Copy of passport
