The Macquarie University is delighted to announce its China Key Partnership Cotutelle International funding for the academic year 2020/2021. The funding program is exclusively open to Chinese students.

The stipend scheme covers stipend rates for candidates who are studying at Macquarie University for 2 years during their Cotutelle PhD agreement.

China Key Partnership Cotutelle International Scholarship at Macquarie University in Australia, 2020 for PhD Founded in 1964, Macquarie University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Sydney (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), New South Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Macquarie University (MU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Macquarie University (MU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: China
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree program in all disciplines.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Completion of a Master of Research (MRes) with a grade of at least a Distinction level (75% or greater in the second year.
  • A Master of Philosophy.
  • A two-year Masters’s degree with a major research component at Distinction level (75% or greater).

Offered Benefits

The sponsorship will cover a living allowance stipend of $28,092 p.a. to Chinese students for the academic session 2020/2021.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: If you want to be enlisted in this educational program, then you are recommended to take admission in the PhD degree coursework at the Macquarie University. After being registered, candidates must submit an online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Must provide official academic transcripts for all prior studies (e.g. Bachelors, Masters, etc) and evidence of current program enrolment (if applicable), passport copy, current Australian visa, and a detailed CV.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, candidates must check the entry requirements of the program.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof. Please see the English Language Requirements section for more details.
