The UoC is extending the application to all domestic students who can be identified as freshmen entering high school and transfer students entering from a California Community College. All students applying for undergraduate study at UCI will be considered for the award, which is typically directed towards the program fee for up to 2 years of study.

Offered Benefits

The University of California has decided to award the winners of the Chancellor‡s Excellence Scholarship a renewable award for up to an additional year typically to cover the tuition fee of the undertaken undergraduate program. 

Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Interested students are requested to complete and submit an  admission application . Scholarship winners will be determined on the basis of the same. 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students are required to present academic transcripts and standardized test scores if required. 
  • Admission Requirements:  Students must make sure to meet the entry and academic requirements set by the university for the program of their choice.
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 80
