The Sievert Larsson Scholarship Fund (within Friends of Chalmers) offers scholarships for Thai students. These scholarships are available for pursuing master’s degree at the Chalmers University of Technology.

Chalmers University of Technology Masters Scholarship for Thai Students in Sweden, 2017 Established in 1829, Chalmers tekniska högskola (Chalmers University of Technology) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Göteborg (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Vastra Gotaland County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden), Chalmers tekniska högskola (CHALMERS) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Chalmers tekniska högskola (CHALMERS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 189 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Swedish higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

Both versions of the scholarship are available to

  • 1st year Master’s programme applicants
  • Citizens of Thailand
  • Students with a completed or soon to be completed (during spring semester 2016) Bachelor’s Degree (equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen) with a minimum grade of 3.0 (CGPA) from a prestigious Thai University*

*) Based on the stature of the Home University – including position on international ranking lists

Offered Benefits

The Scholarship is available in two different versions. It is possible to apply for both versions of the scholarship via the scholarship application portal. Please make sure that you apply for the scholarships in your order of preference.

**Version 1: **Full tuition fee waiver (covers 100% of the tuition fees) during the 2-year programme (4 semesters).

Version 2: Full tuition fee waiver (covers 100% of the tuition fees) and 230 000 SEK for costs of living during the 2-year programme (4 semesters).
