CGC PhD Scholarship for International Students at University of Auckland, New Zealand Founded in 1883, University of Auckland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Auckland (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Auckland is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Auckland offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities, including New Zealand
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the PhD studies. Studies may also focus on social or environmental inequality and justice, and be conducted as cross-country studies within or outside of formal education settings in Aotearoa New Zealand or overseas.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • The program is available to domestic students and domestic fee-paying international students
  • Applicants who already have a doctorate are not eligible for consideration
  • M?ori and Pasifika applicants will be prioritized.

Offered Benefits

The university will provide all the following:

  • Scholarship valued at $33,000 p.a. plus compulsory fees for up to 36 months of full-time study
  • Paid work may not exceed 750 hours per 12-month period of scholarship tenure
