The Materials Forming Center (CEMEF) of MINES ParisTech in Sophia Antipolis is seeking candidates to apply for its PhD Positions in France.

The goal of this PhD project is to understand and quantitatively describe phase transitions in polysaccharide gels in non-solvents and their mixtures.

CEMEF is a research center of MINES ParisTech associated with the CNRS. By vocation, it places its skills and knowledge at the service of industry and training. Its research covers the broad field of materials, industrial transformation processes, and their useful properties.

CEMEF PhD Fellowships, France Established in 1783, MINES ParisTech (National Graduate School of Engineering, Paris) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Paris (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Ile-de-France. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation, France (Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, France), MINES ParisTech (ENSMP) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. MINES ParisTech (ENSMP) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.   • Eligible Countries: France
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in Understanding phase transitions in bio-gels for structure/properties control of bio-aerogels and for making responsive biomaterials
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • knowledge in polymer chemical physics, capability to work in a group, fluent in English, mobility, motivation, and sense of initiative, and capability to report regularly on his/her work.

Offered Benefits

The CEMEF will provide an award amount of about 26 k€/year for successful applicants in France.
