The University of Newcastle is inviting overseas students to apply for the Carmel Mary Costello PhD Top-Up Scholarship in Alzheimer’s Research. This one-off award of $8,000 supports PhD students conducting research in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Newcastle with a research focus on Alzheimer’s Disease. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible, and the scholarship is open to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and International Students.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for research related to Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

    • Be enrolled in a PhD program within the Alzheimer’s Disease research area at the University of Newcastle.

    • Be enrolled full-time or part-time.

    • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or International Student.

Offered Benefits

The successful recipient will receive a one-off payment of AUD $8,000 to support their research in Alzheimer’s Disease.
