Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: All Canadian students are eligible to apply.

Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in a Master’s degree subject offered by the university

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada or a Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) as of the application deadline date.

Must be in a graduate program with a significant research component.

Must be enrolled in, have applied for, or will apply for full-time admission to an eligible graduate program at the master’s or doctoral level.

Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in each of the last two completed years of study (full-time equivalent)

Must not have received any other Tri-Agency funding for a master’s program.

Application Process

How to Apply: Students can make admission applications online via FGSR/GSMS or GARS. All eligible applicants will be considered.

English Language Proficiency scores such as IELTS, Pearson, TOEFL, etc. (if applicable)

Additional departmental requirements, such as:

CV, statement of intent, and writing samples

GRE, GMAT, or other test scores

Reference letters (supply names and e-mail addresses of your references in the online application)
