The Department of Information Technology and Software Engineering at AUT is currently seeking Expressions of interest from candidates interested in undertaking a PhD research in the field of data mining for business process discovery and analytics. The project is to be performed in collaboration with a company in Auckland and is subject to funding approval by Callaghan Innovation, NZ.

Business Process mining Established in 2000, Auckland University of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Auckland (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Eligibility Criteria

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in data/process mining and process-aware information systems or related field. In addition they will need to satisfy the admission criteria for AUT’s PhD program and hold an appropriate visa at the time of application. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high level understanding of data (text) mining, pattern mining, and machine learning techniques. Candidates with experience in experimental and applied research, or development of business intelligence/analytics tools, would be highly regarded.

Offered Benefits

$25k per annum for 3 years and AUT through a fees scholarship.
