The Buchanan Charitable Trust Scholarship is now open for the academic session 2024/2025. One Scholarship is awarded annually, and is tenable for 9 years – Years 5 to 8 at King’s School, followed by Years 9 to 13 at King’s College.

This scholarship encompasses financial assistance covering tuition fees, uniform allowances, and additional expenses. The determination of parental contribution will be conducted independently, taking into account the present financial circumstances of the family.The King’s School Prospectus contains information about the wide range of learning opportunities and activities available to their students. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by King’s School.
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must be due to complete Year 4 at the end of 2024. The scholarship is aimed at students who demonstrate academic potential and possess strong all-round abilities. Applicants will undergo testing and interviews, considering their overall abilities, participation in cultural, sporting, and community activities, as well as their school record.

To apply, visit the King’s School website to download the Buchanan Charitable Trust Scholarship Application Forms. Ensure all required documents, including a passport-sized photograph, the candidate’s most recent school report, a copy of their NZ birth certificate or NZ passport or NZ Residency permit, and a one-page written statement, are included.
