Brunel University London International Bursary in UK Established in 1966, Brunel University London is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Uxbridge (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), London. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Brunel University London is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: India, Pakistan, China, Egypt, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Jordan, UAE, Nigeria, Kuwait, Nepal, Bangladesh, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Morocco
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can apply for a PhD study programme offered at the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Hold an offer of a place to study on a postgraduate taught course starting in January 2024;
  • Have a minimum 2:2 and above or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification;
  • Pay the course deposit of £5,000. The deposit payment must be received by Brunel by 17th December 2023. Applicants should be aware it can take up to 5 days for payments to clear. Applicants should factor this in when making the deposit payment.
  • Applicants must have a minimum 2:2 and above or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification.
  • Must be classed as an Overseas fee paying student based on the  UK government regulations and be self-funded (not sponsored). Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government.   • Must have an offer to study on a full time postgraduate taught programme starting in January 2024 of the 2023/24 academic year.
  • All applicants must meet all conditions of their offer by the time they are due to register at Brunel. Candidates must pay their £5,000 tuition fee deposit within the deadline to secure their fee reduction.

Offered Benefits

Brunel University London will provide the selected candidates an annual stipend (bursary) of £18,062 plus payment of their full-time Home/EU tuition fees.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students are required to log in to the  application portal of the university and complete their admission applications. To apply for the studentship, there is no separate application the award will be automatically awarded to those who meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • CV
  • Research Statement
  • One page A4 personal statement
  • Copy of degree certificates and transcripts
  • Name and contact details of two academic referees
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have or be expected to receive a minimum 2:1 or 1stclass degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
