British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Graduate Scholarship 2025 for Master Founded in 1960, British Columbia Institute of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Burnaby (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), British Columbia. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training, British Columbia, British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • You must demonstrate academic excellence.
  • You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • You must commence your full-time studies at the graduate level in September 2025.
  • Scholarship is not deferrable or transferable to another institution, and must be accepted in the year in which they are awarded.
  • You must maintain satisfactory academic and full-time studies standing during the academic period for which a scholarship is given.
  • Eligible full-time Master’s degree programs include:
    • Master of Applied Science in Building Engineering/Building Science
    • Master of Engineering in Building Science
    • Master of Engineering in Smart Grid Systems and Technologies
    • Master of Science in Ecological Restoration
    • Master of Science in Applied Computing
  • A minimum 80% GPA is required from the last two years of a full-time undergraduate degree (60 credits).

  • Disbursement:

    • $8,750 in September

    • $8,750 in January

Application Process

Required Documents:

To complete your application, you must submit the following by the application deadline:

  • A copy of your official transcripts from the post-secondary institution(s) where you obtained your undergraduate degree
    • English translations must accompany transcripts that are in another language
    • Submit both the front and back sides of each transcript

Email your transcripts to:   and be sure to include your full name, BCIT student ID number, and indicate that you are applying for the BC Graduate Scholarship (BCGS).

Important: Official transcripts must be received by the application deadline. Applications will not be considered without them.

  1. Go to  myBCIT , and log in to your account.
  2. Click Online Self-Service.
  3. Select “Student Financial Aid & Awards” from the menu.
  4. Log in again with your A# Student ID.
  5. Select the “Web Application” icon.
  6. Select the correct “application term” and “BC Graduate Scholarship – Online Application” to begin.

Note: You can update your application at any time during the application period by making changes and clicking Save Section. Once all sections are marked COMPLETE, you must click Mark Application as Complete to officially submit your application.

Important: If you don’t complete this final step, your application will remain incomplete and will not be reviewed. Please note that no changes can be made after the deadline.
