In keeping with its principles, the GSU has established the  Bob Haywood Memorial Bursary to honour a hard-working union activist and a man of great conviction who was committed to improving the world in which we live

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstration of academic proficiency ‘C+’ average or higher.
  • Description of financial needs and/or personal challenges
  • Proof of registration in a full-time or part-time program at a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
  • An essay of 800 words on the topic listed in the bursary package.
