To support excellent and brilliant international students in the USA, the University of Mary Washington is happy to announce  the Blue & Gray Merit International Scholarships for the academic session 2021/2022.

The purpose of the grant is to motivate outstanding students who want to commence an undergraduate degree at the University of Mary Washington. All the interested candidates can apply for this programme.

Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, University of Mary Washington (UMW) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Mary Washington (UMW) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 111 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this US higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree programme in any subject offered by the University
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Must have previous academic year degree with good results.
  • All non-Virginia residents (including overseas students) can receive an extra $4,000 award when they live on campus.

Offered Benefits

The University of Mary Washington will provide an award of $5,000, and non-Virginia residents (including international students) can receive an extra $4,000 award when they live on campus.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All the interested participants have to take admission in an undergraduate degree program at the University. After that, students have to apply online.
  • Supporting Documents: Students must submit a CV, academic certificates, and transcripts with their application.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a previous degree at the time of admission to the University.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language or mother tongue, you should provide evidence of your English language proficiency through one of the entry requirements or language tests.
