The Beautiful Ones are Born (BOAB) competition organized by Platform Capital in partnership with Diatom Impact is designed to support Nigerian schools with enabling infrastructure, inspire and challenge secondary school students as African kings and queens.

The competition is a once in a lifetime experience for schools represented by their students to compete in STEM (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics), Debate and a Spelling Bee competition. Students will develop critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively and get a chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations.

Winning the BOAB competition unlocks the opportunity for schools to win N10,000,000 and outstanding students to win an education scholarship to the university level.

Eligibility Criteria

This Scholarship opportunity is available for:

  • All Secondary School Students in Nigeria
  • All secondary schools in Nigeria that are run and supported by public / government funds.
  • All secondary schools in Nigeria that are not financially supported by the government (Private Schools)

Offered Benefits

  • The Scholarship will run between May 2021 and September 2021 with the Grand Finale taking place on October 2021.
  • Winners of this competition will receive:
    • 1st Place: ₦10,000,000
    • 2nd Place: ₦5,000,000
    • 3rd Place: ₦2,500,000
  • Winners will also receive education scholarship to study in the University.
