AbbVie Ireland, in partnership with ATU Sligo, is offering the STEM Excellence Scholarship for the 2025/26 academic year. This scholarship supports students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds who want to study science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). Up to three students will receive €3,000 per year for four years, along with an internship opportunity.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be residents of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, have applied through the CAO for an eligible undergraduate STEM program at ATU Sligo for the 2025/26 academic year, and be in receipt of a SUSI grant. They must also have completed the Leaving Certificate or a PLC course within the last two years (or qualify as a mature student), be active in their community, and demonstrate a commitment to overcoming barriers to third-level education.
