To provide a funding source to international students undertaking their higher studies in UK, the University of Cambridge has organized the AstraZeneca-Funded Non-Clinical PhD Studentship for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants must hold (or expect to obtain) at least a 2:1 honours degree or master’s in a relevant field, with laboratory experience required. Skills in data analysis or small animal models are desirable. Open to UK (Home) students and international applicants eligible for Home fee status.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Medicine (Cardiometabolic Research).

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Applicants must hold (or expect to obtain) at least a 2:1 Honours degree or a Master’s in a relevant discipline.

    • Laboratory research experience is essential.

    • Skills in data analysis or small animal models are desirable.

    • Self-funding is not permitted.
