Aston University 2025 Ferguson Scholarship for African Students for Master


We are excited to announce  THREE Ferguson scholarships for September 2025. These scholarships are supported by the  Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust who are dedicated to improving educational opportunities for students who would not otherwise be able to consider studying in the UK.

Benefits of Aston University Masters Scholarship

Each candidate can look to receive full tuition cover (value of £22,500) exclusively available to students from Africa and India for the 2025/26 academic year. With £6,000 additional contribution towards living costs. 

Requirements for Aston University Masters Scholarship

Who can apply?

The Ferguson Scholarships are available to students applying for one of the following postgraduate taught programmes:

  • MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • MSc Drug Delivery
  • MSc Pharmacokinetics
  • MSc Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
  • MSc Biotechnology
  • MSc Psychology (Conversion programme)
  • MSc Neuroscience for Drug Discovery
  • MSc Addiction and Mental Health
  • MSc Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine
  • MRes Neuropharmacology
  • MRes Biosciences

What is the eligibility criteria?

  • You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the above courses
  • Be a national from India or an African country
  • Hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant subject for the course you are applying for
  • Be a self-funded student. No agency referred candidates would be eligible.

  • Submit an application for your chosen course by selecting 'APPLY NOW' on the course web pages (select appropriate programme from list above).
  • Following the above complete scholarship web form at bottom of this page before the scholarship deadline (30th June 2025).
    NB: you will be asked to include your 9 digit application number beginning 25………
  • The announcements for the applications for this scholarship are to be made by 31 July 2025 (midnight UK time). Please note that this is the final extended deadline for applications.

Aston University 2025 Ferguson Scholarship for African Students for Master Established in 1895, Aston University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Birmingham (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), West Midlands. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Aston University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Aston University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 124 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
