ASEAN Scholarships at University of Tasmania, Australia Founded in 1890, University of Tasmania is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Hobart (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tasmania. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, University of Tasmania (UTAS) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 129 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.   • Applicants must be international students on a student visa and must continue to satisfy the criteria for the grant of the visa.
  • The applicants must be commencing at the University of Tasmania for the first time.
  • The applicants must be whole fee-paying students.

The students selected by UTAS will be provided a 15% reduction in the registered tuition fee for the course’s duration.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Admission applications need to be submitted via the online portal of the university. Applicants are assessed automatically for the 2022 ASEAN Scholarship upon submission of their International Student Application. There is no need to apply separately.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

  • Admission Requirements: Applicants are required to meet the international admission requirements of the university.
