The Royal Irish Academy (RIA) in partnership with the National Monuments Service is now accepting applications for the Archaeological Archives Research Grant (AARG). This grant supports researchers conducting analysis on archival artefacts and excavation materials from non-RIA excavations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Grants ranging from €5,000 to €20,000 are available, with a total funding pool of 50% of the year’s allocation.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong focus on research related to archival artefacts and excavation materials from non-RIA excavations in Ireland or Northern Ireland.
