ARC Grant Funded PhD International Scholarships in Australia Founded in 1874, The University of Adelaide is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Adelaide (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Australia. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Adelaide (UofA) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Adelaide (UofA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries:  Australian and overseas national students will be considered.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  Students can undertake PhD study at the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) at the University of Adelaide. 
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia/international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide.

Offered Benefits

The winners of the PhD Scholarship will be awarded a stipend of $32,500 per annum for up to 3 years of study.

  • How to Apply:  Interested students must submit their admission applications via the  university portal . Students must submit an expression of interest via mail to   to be considered for the award. 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Degree certificates (testamurs)
  • Academic transcripts
  • Translations of non-English documentation
  • Evidence of English language proficiency
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Admission Requirements:  The students must meet the entry requirements of the PhD program they want to get admission in. 
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5 
  • TOEFL IBT – 79
  • TOEFL PBT – 577
  • PTE – 58
  • C1 – 176
