ANU Graeme Samuel Dementia International Research Awards in Australia for Course Established in 1946, Australian National University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Canberra (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Australian Capital Territory.   • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Research degree program in Dementia Research
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • Be a  prospective or continuing domestic/international ANU student who is enrolled or enrolling full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy in dementia prevention research, based in the Centre for Research on Ageing, Health & Wellbeing (CRAHW), the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, ANU College of Health and Medicine.

Offered Benefits

Australian National University will cover the award amount of $7,500 per annum. Payments are made in two installments, after the Census date each semester unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity, candidates are recommended to take  admission in the research program at the Australian National University. After being registered, applications including the following items should be submitted to the Professor Nic Cherbuin –

  • How your research will contribute to dementia prevention
  • How your research will contribute to decreasing the burden of disease
  • Why you are well suited to undertake research in this area.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission at the university, candidates must have a previous year degree.
