Many students dream of studying in Australia, but they are unable to do it due to financial barriers. To cover study expenses, Australian National University is offering Angus Nicholson Honours international awards in Science for the session 2020/21.

The goal of the award is to support a student enrolled in the Honours Year of an undergraduate degree at the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Health and Medicine who can demonstrate a passion for his or her chosen field of Science.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree coursework in Science (Honours), Medical Science, and Health Science.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Has an outstanding academic record in science
  • Has a demonstrated passion for his or her chosen field of Science.
  • Eligible for enrolment or already enrolled at the university in the Honours year of an undergraduate degree offered by the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Health & Medicine or an equivalent degree program at another tertiary educational institution.

Offered Benefits

Australian National University will provide a scholarship of $7,500 per annum to both domestic and international students. The award is paid in two equal instalments at the beginning of each semester unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity , applicants must take admission in the Honours year of an undergraduate degree at the Australian National University. After that, applicants must apply by written letter to coursework.scholarships-at-anu.edu.au setting out one’s passion for science and one’s academic achievements.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must organize two references from people who are well placed to support the application and comment on this passion, and arrange for referees to send their reports to coursework.scholarships-at-anu.edu.au.
  • Admission Requirements: Selection is made on the basis of the applicant’s academic record in science.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof. Please see the English Language Requirements section for more details.
