The Scholarship was established in 1985 in memory of Anne Bellam. To assist students to further their Musical education overseas.
The Scholarship shall be open to students under the age of 30 years at the time of application who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and have completed or will complete in the year of application any Degree or Diploma in performance (with or without Honours) or any postgraduate music degree at The University of Auckland.
Preference will be given to a student or students intending to improve their instrumental or vocal skills overseas and who, but for the Scholarship, would otherwise be unable to study at The University of Auckland or other preferred Music School.
Each candidate shall be examined in performance.
