Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are eligible to be applied for by students from Ghana, South Africa, Tunisia, or Uganda to receive the benefits of this scholarship programme. The scholarships will cover the total cost of tuition fees for studies at Uppsala University starting 29th August 2022.

Ander Walls International Scholarships at Uppsala University, Sweden Established in 1477, Uppsala Universitet (Uppsala University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Uppsala (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Uppsala County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden), Uppsala Universitet (UU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Uppsala Universitet (UU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 542 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Swedish higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Students who are citizens of Ghana, South Africa, Tunisia, or Uganda can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Any preferred bachelor or master study programme offered at Uppsala can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • You must be a citizen of Ghana, South Africa, Tunisia, or Uganda.
  • You must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.
  • You must have applied for the Bachelor’s or Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.

Offered Benefits

The applicants selected to be given this scholarship by the university will have the full tuition fee of any undertaken bachelor or master programme covered.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students must apply on this portal. Eligible students will be considered automatically.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • A copy of your passport photo page
  • Certificates and diplomas of your completed Bachelor’s degree
  • Transcripts of completed courses and grades for each semester of your Bachelor’s programme
  • Proof that you meet the English language requirements
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the entry requirements for the programme they choose to apply to. The application fee and all supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • TOEFL Paper-based – 575
  • TOEFL Internet-based – 90
  • Cambridge – CAE, CPE
