Albert Einstein Fellowship for International Students at Einstein Forum and Wittenstein Foundation in Germany Founded in 1918, Hebrew University of Jerusalem is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Jerusalem (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Israel, Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 101 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 20-30% making this Israeli higher education organization a very selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: German and international students are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to research in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants should be under the age of 35 and have a qualified university degree in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
  • The applications are evaluated according to the quality, originality, and feasibility of the project proposals as well as the scientific career of the applicant. It doesn’t matter whether a doctorate has already been started or completed. The proposed project does not have to be completed within the given time frame but can serve as a starting point for a new, longer project.
