The Al Alfi PhD Fellowship in Applied Sciences and Engineering at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is now accepting applications. The program provides substantial financial support, including tuition coverage and stipends, for up to four years.
Applicants must be Egyptian nationals with a Master of Science degree in an engineering or science discipline, obtained from an accredited university. A minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or an equivalent grade of “very good” is required. Offered Benefits
The fellowship covers:
- 83.3% of the tuition fees, equivalent to 15 credit hours per academic year.
- Student services and activities fees.
- A monthly stipend.
- Research and conference grants.
Fellows are also expected to engage in professional training through teaching assistantships, contributing nine hours per week in the AUC Department of Science and Engineering. The fellowship is awarded for a maximum of four years, subject to a review every semester for satisfactory academic performance.
