Africa International University (AIU) is proud to announce the launch of the Founders Scholarship, a prestigious initiative marking two significant milestones in our history. Celebrating 40 years since our founding and welcoming Dr. Nelson Makanda as our new Vice-Chancellor, this scholarship embodies our c ommitment to educational excellence and leadership development.

The Founders Scholarship aims to empower and support 300 deserving students across Kenya and 30 International Students by covering 50% of undergraduate program fees. This initiative reflects AIU’s vision for a future where every student can achieve their potential and contributes to building a diverse, empowered, and inclusive community of future leaders.

AIU Founders Scholarships in Kenya for Bachelor Established in 2011, Africa International University is a private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Nairobi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Commission for University Education, Kenya, Africa International University (AIU) is a coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Evangelical religion. Africa International University (AIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 8 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: All undergraduate programs offered by AIU
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate financial capability to finance the remaining 50% of undergraduate fees. Additionally, they must meet academic qualifications, including a minimum grade of C+ (Plus) in their KCSE examinations or its equivalent, program-specific entry requirements, consistent academic performance, alignment with academic standards, financial need, community engagement, leadership, submission of a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and additional criteria for International Students.

Offered Benefits

Recipients of the Founders Scholarship will receive 50% coverage of tuition fees throughout their undergraduate program. However, please note that accommodation fees and other personal expenses are not included in the scholarship coverage.
