The University of York is now accepting applications for the AHRC Doctoral Landscape Awards in the Arts and Humanities for the 2026/27 academic year. Six scholarships are available to support outstanding PhD candidates whose research aligns with the AHRC remit.
Applicants must have an offer to begin a PhD in a relevant department at the University of York in September 2026. They should have a first-class undergraduate degree and a Distinction at Master’s level or equivalent experience. The research must fall within the AHRC remit, and at least one supervisor must be from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Both UK and international students are eligible, but international students must cover the fee difference. Applicants must reside in the UK during their studies.
