Applications are now open for the Aga Khan Academy Scholarship at the University of Victoria. This prestigious award supports outstanding international students from Aga Khan Academies who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.

Applicants must be international students graduating from an Aga Khan Academy who have been admitted to their first undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria. They must demonstrate excellent academic achievement, meet UVic’s academic and English language requirements, and be officially nominated by their school authority.

Aga Khan Academy Scholarship in Canada for Bachelor Established in 1997, Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya (University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia) is a non-profit public private partnership higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of Vic (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Catalonia. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Manresa, Granollers. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional, España (Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Spain), Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All countries (international students graduating from an Aga Khan Academy)
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any undergraduate subject offered by the University of Victoria
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Be admitted to the University of Victoria

  • Be entering their first undergraduate degree program

  • Be an international student holding a valid study permit

  • Graduate directly from an Aga Khan Academy

  • Have an excellent academic record (A average or minimum 32 IB points)

  • Meet UVic’s academic and English language proficiency requirements

  • Demonstrate leadership, community service, and school involvement

  • Be nominated by a school guidance counsellor, principal, or department head at an Aga Khan Academy

Offered Benefits

  • Total funding of USD $90,000 over four years

  • Automatic renewal each year, subject to:

    • Completion of at least 12 academic units over two terms

    • Maintaining a minimum GPA of 7.50

  • Financial stability to support tuition and living expenses

  • Recognition as a high-achieving Aga Khan Academy graduate

Application Process

  • Have a  NetLink ID
  • Go to  www.uvic.ca and sign in to your UVic  Online tools using your NetLink ID
  • If you are not yet admitted to UVic, but have submitted an admissions application, select “Applicant Services”. If you have been admitted to UVic, select “Student Services”
  • Select “View and apply for awards”
  • Select the 2025-2026 study period and select the “Aga Khan Academy Scholarship Application”
  • Complete the online application
  • Send in the required Student Supporting Documentation: Awards and recognition statement, activities statement, essay question (500 words), community reference letter, and budget sheet.
  • Have your Nominator send in the required Nominator Documentation: Form B, reference letter
