The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) is seeking enthusiastic and high-potential applicants to participate in the Scholar Award Program in Africa.

The study educational program is open to graduate students (M.Sc., M.Phil., or Ph.D.) who are enrolled in a degree-granting institution in Africa. Applicants must be conducting research in soil science, agronomy, horticultural or tree crop science, with a focus on plant nutrition.

The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) is a research and development organization dedicated to advancing sustainable plant nutrition solutions across Africa. Headquartered in Benguérir, Morocco, APNI focuses on improving soil fertility, enhancing agricultural productivity, and promoting efficient nutrient management practices. Through innovative research, capacity-building programs, and strategic partnerships with universities, agricultural institutions, and industry stakeholders, APNI aims to address food security challenges and support resilient farming systems.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to students from all African countries.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to students in the fields of soil science, agronomy, and horticultural or tree crop science with a focus on plant nutrition.

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Applicants must be enrolled in an M.Sc., M.Phil., or PhD program at an accredited degree-granting institution in Africa.

    • Candidates must be actively pursuing research related to plant nutrition.

    • Enrollment in a graduate program must be valid as of the application deadline.

Offered Benefits

The award provides $2,000 (U.S. Dollars) to each of the ten selected students, supporting their academic and research activities in crop and soil nutrition sciences.
