The African Leadership Forum (ALF) 2025 is hosting a Youth Leadership Competition for African citizens aged 18-25. Participants are invited to submit an essay answering the question, “If you were an African leader, how would you accelerate the implementation of SDGs on the continent?” The competition aims to engage the next generation of leaders in shaping Africa’s future. Winners will receive up to USD $2,000, have their posters displayed at ALF 2025, and be invited to the ALF Gala Dinner in Kampala, Uganda.
The competition is open to African citizens, including those in the diaspora, aged 18 to 25 years. Applicants must submit an original essay (500-700 words) responding to the question: “If you were an African leader, how would you accelerate the implementation of SDGs on the continent?“ The essay must be typed in Arial font size 11, single-spaced, with 1-inch margins and submitted as a Microsoft Word document. A signed originality statement is also required.
