The African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) is an initiative tailored towards building the next generation of policy makers in Africa by exposing them to avid tools and training. Our Scholars consist of highly-skilled final year students or recent graduates of Economics, political Science, International Relations and other related courses. These individuals possess a broad range of abilities and have proven their excellence in academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and professional endeavours. The Scholars program will enable them to gain a thorough understanding of the place of policy makers and the importance of developing wholly.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have demonstrated interest in policy, research, and development. 
  • Have studied or is studying Economics, Political Science, International Relations or other related courses. 
  • Be a final year student or a recent graduate from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya or South Africa. 
  • Not have graduated before 2025 
  • Have graduated or is set to graduate with a first class or second-class upper.
