This prestigious competition aims to challenge law students to critically analyze and provide sustainable insights on contemporary legal issues in Nigeria.

The competition is open to law students enrolled in any tertiary institution in Nigeria, from 100 to 500 level. Applicants must submit an original essay on the specified topic, Taxation and Development in Nigeria: Bridging the Gap Between Policy and Implementation. Only individual submissions are allowed, and plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Nigeria
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Law (Applicable to all law students in Nigeria)
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a law student (100–500 level) in any tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  • Submit an original essay based on the given topic: Taxation and Development in Nigeria: Bridging the Gap Between Policy and Implementation.
  • Essays must be written individually, with no co-authorship.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • Must follow the specified formatting and submission guidelines.

Application Process

  • Essays must be in Microsoft Word format, with a Times New Roman font (size 12), double-spaced, and properly referenced using OSCOLA style.
