Adelaide Park Lands Association – Multiple PhD Internship Scholarships in Australia Founded in 1874, The University of Adelaide is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Adelaide (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Australia. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, The University of Adelaide (UofA) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Adelaide (UofA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a Postgraduate Research degree (PhD program) at one of the following faculties at Adelaide Graduate Research School (AGRS): 1) Faculty of Arts, Business, Law, and Economics (ABLE), 2) Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holders, or International Students are eligible
  • within the first 18 months of their candidature,
  • willing to undertake the research internship for a minimum duration of 60 FTE business days,
  • making satisfactory progress, and
  • undertaking research in an area aligned with the proposed research internship project

Offered Benefits

The University of Adelaide will provide the payment per year: University of Adelaide RTP Stipend rate on a pro-rata basis for 60 FTE business days.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To apply, applicants must email the required documents to (HDR Internships Team) with the subject line – Adelaide Park Lands Internship.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the following documents as a part of the application:
  • Resume
  • Cover Letter (of not more than 2 pages) outlining your interest in the internship and describing how your research area aligns with the proposed field of research internship.
  • Evidence of proficiency in English language tests
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must check the requirements and prerequisites for admission into the University of Adelaide as international students.
  • Language Requirement: Eligible international students pursuing admission to the University’s coursework academic programs must meet minimum English language standards.
  • English language tests: IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English, and CAE.
  • Australian year 12 applicants: International students undertaking an Australian year 12 program will meet the English language proficiency requirements with a passing grade or above in a recognized  English as a Second Language or an English Language subject, as a part of the successful completion of their year 12 qualification.
