Students that apply by the early action deadline will be considered for this scholarship. International students applying to study an undergraduate programme at UKY are eligible to apply. Once admitted, eligible students are automatically considered.

International Academic Scholarships at University of Kentucky, USA for Bachelor Established in 1865, University of Kentucky is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Lexington (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Kentucky. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, University of Kentucky (UK) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Kentucky (UK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 154 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this US higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All international students can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply to take up any degree programme taught at UKY.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be commencing study in the academic year 2022-2023.
  • Eligibility for academic scholarship consideration is based on the highest ACT composite or SAT math and evidence-based reading and writing (M+EBRW) total score from one test date.

Offered Benefits

Students that will be awarded this scholarship will be entitled to receive tuition fee support from the University of Kentucky towards a UG programme.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students can start their admission application on the official portal of the university or through Common Application. All international students will be considered upon applying.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • All secondary school and college/university level transcripts
  • Bank statement
  • Academic letter of recommendation
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants are requested to meet the admission requirements of the university in order to gain admission at UKY.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 71
  • TOEFL CBT – 197
  • TOEFL PBT- 527
  • IELTS – 6.0
