Academic Honour (Merit) Bursary at Africa International University, Kenya Established in 2011, Africa International University is a private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Nairobi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Commission for University Education, Kenya, Africa International University (AIU) is a coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Evangelical religion. Africa International University (AIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 8 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are open in Kenya only.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The funding will be granted in any degree coursework.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, aspirants have to meet the given criteria:
  • The program is available to the best academic performing aspirants who score 90% for undergraduates and a minimum of 3.8 GPA for Master Level,
  • The award will be six credit hours of tuition correspondent per level in the semester,
  • Applicants with the highest cumulative GPA or grade will be awarded 50% tuition bursary.
  • If the first selected student is ineligible for any reason, the second qualifying student will be eligible.

Offered Benefits

  • The best overall 50% tuition support will be awarded at the end of the program with the highest cumulative GPA or grade if they enroll for another program at AIU for the first semester only.
  • The honored students would be given a special meal to be praised by the university.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: If you are interested in applying for the bursary, you need to take admission in any degree coursework at the university. After taking admission, you will be automatically involved in the study program.
  • Supporting Documents: Students must provide a resume, a transcript, photographs, letter of recommendation, and all the previous necessary mark-sheets.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission at AIU, students have to meet the admission requirements of the university.
  • Language Requirement: Students need to submit any evidence of their English language proficiency.
