Aalborg University International PhD Scholarships in Age of Learning Algorithms, Denmark Established in 1974, Aalborg Universitet (Aalborg University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Aalborg (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Denmark Region.   • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all nations are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD scholarship in Public Administration and Digitalization focusing on the use of learning algorithmic technologies in public sector organizations.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:

Applicants to the PhD scholarship must hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree. Applicants enrolled at a Danish Master programme who expect to graduate before the date of appointment must forward statement from thesis supervisor, verified transcripts, a copy of thesis contract and documentation for the date of their final exam.

Offered Benefits

The successful candidates will be provided with a particular stipend for a period of 3 years.

  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the following  admission requirements:
  • Good/excellent grades in relevant subjects, including the master’s thesis, according to the Danish 7-point grading scale (https://ufm.dk/en/education/the-danish-education-system/grading-system/grading-system).
  • Proficiency in written Danish and English
  • Oral proficiency in Danish or another Scandinavian language to conduct ethnographic fieldwork.
  • Skills in qualitative methodology or ethnographic research
  • Interest/experience in sociological and organizational theory and public administration
  • Interest in emerging technologies and organizational change
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must fulfill one of the following  language requirements: Must have excellent verbal and written skills in English, as well as outstanding communication abilities.
