23 Fully-funded International PhD Fellowships in Physics at University of Vienna, Austria Founded in 1365, Universität Wien (University of Vienna) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Vienna (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft and Forschung, Österreich (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Austria), Universität Wien (UNIVIE) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Universität Wien (UNIVIE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Application Process

  • How to Apply: Before applying for this program, applicants need to take admission in the PhD degree program at Vienna Doctoral School. After taken admission, they can apply for the grant.
  • Supporting Documents: You must submit all the following supporting documents:
  • CV
  • A personal motivation letter, ca. 1 page A4 (in English)
  • List of publications in scientific journals, poster contributions, conference talks
  • All study records (English or German, translation is required)
  • If available: GRE and TOEFL iBL score reports
  • At least two recommendation letters.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, applicants must have a previous year degree.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
