The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST provides academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa with access to quality and relevant university education.
It embodies an array of mentoring and cultural transition services to ensure student academic success, community engagement and transition to employment opportunities which will further social and economic change for Africa.
Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (MCFSP at KNUST). Our goal is to raise the next generation of ethical and transformative leaders who would influence positive forward-looking changes in their respective home countries specifically and on the African Continent as a whole.
Kwame Nkrumah University Information
Kwame Nkrumah University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Kabwe (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Central Province. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Zambia, Kwame Nkrumah University (KNU) is a coeducational higher education institution. Kwame Nkrumah University (KNU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria
- All Applicants must have a WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent Results from an accredited/recognized institution and Certificate Ready and must meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be accepted. Applicant’s result must be at least a year old.
- The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.
- The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).
- The Applicant must be prepared to Go-Back and Give-Back to his or her Community.
- The Applicant must not be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
Priority shall be given to;
- Females
- Displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, etc.)
- Persons with Disability
